Puff, Puff, Pink Slip: Legal Weed Use Still Carries Job Risk
Sun Jul 13, 2014
Everyone thinks the USA is so free and I thought that myself before I moved here. Employers want to have control over every waking moment of an employee's life. When I first moved here I didn't understand the code words "a drug free workplace." I asked the interviewer "isn't every …

Bathroom ban violated transgender student's rights: court
Fri Jan 31, 2014
Having separate bathrooms for men and women is stupid anyway. We don't have separate bathrooms at home yet somehow we all manage. It would be more efficient to redesign public bathrooms used in schools and workplaces so that they're bigger and accommodate everyone.
Amanda Knox's ex-boyfriend: I wasn't trying to flee
Fri Jan 31, 2014
The initial prosecutor was a lunatic that was under indictment. If there doesn't appear to be any logical motive he tries to convince the jury that the accused were part of a devil worshiping conspiracy.
Colorado's legal recreational pot industry off to smoking start
Wed Jan 1, 2014
There might be a slight increase in use but I doubt it. The reason for abstaining from drugs was never lack of availability for any drug. I went to an Eminem concert about 10 years ago before I quit smoking (tobacco) and asked a guy if he had a cigarette. He was probably around 18.

Fri Nov 22, 2013
They would never let me come to their church and do a series of sermons about evolution. It's all about religion by force. It's hard not to come to that conclusion when kids spend only 6 hours in school with almost all the time outside of school under the control of their parents.
Tony resort city mulls bankruptcy, blaming wages, pensions
Wed Nov 13, 2013
In many government jobs 10% or more of an employees salary is deducted for pensions. In AZ voters approved legislation that prohibited legislators from getting their hands on that money. A lot of people believe that pensions are some sweet deal compared to personal investments. I'm …
Typhoon Haiyan: Desperation triggers anarchy in storm-devastated areas
Wed Nov 13, 2013
Food and water should not be locked in buildings after a national disaster. It's the responsibility of the citizens to help their fellow man and the obligation of their government to reimburse those that stepped up.
Website exposes 'homewreckers' — but doesn't break the law
Fri Nov 8, 2013
I really can't help feeling that somehow the "homewrecker" is being held to a much higher standard than the cheating husband. After all it's the husband that made the committment not the other woman. A decent husband and father shouldn't have the free time to have an affair. It's h …
